Building an LED cube has been a project that we have always wanted to do, but the opportunity just never presented itsself. However, recently we were able to get our hands on an 8x8x8 LED kit (that's 512 LEDs!) which provides all the parts (95% of them) and instructions for building your own LED cube. The instructions weren't the greatest, so we went ahead and documented the entire process of building an 8x8x8 LED Cube. Hopefully it helps anyone else who wants to build one of these.
