i have a disk rotating at variable speed(max rpm 600) . i want to know how much time it takes to rotate by 120 degree in each revolution .i have the following equipment with me .Arduino leonardo, 5 volt proximity sensor.i want arduino to do following task.measure the time for each 120 rotation (in millisecond) and record the measured time for each 120 rotation because this time will be varying as disk rotate at variable speed. pls open attached ppt for more clearificationSee More

"I just tried my LCD to see what happens.  If the LCD and backlight are powered, the contrast pot doesn't do anything and the display is just blank (exactly what yours is doing).  I suppose that means that the Arduino isn't…"

"only the back light LED glow.there is no other change in display when i sweep the port."

"Well, it looks like all of the pins go to the right places.  Does the screen light up when you power it on?  Do you see one line blacked out and the other not?  What happens when you sweep the pot from one extreme to the other?…"

"Have you got your contrast pot hooked up?  If it's hooked up correctly, you should see an effect when you turn it even if nothing is displayed.  If that's working, try resetting the Arduino a time or two.  If it still…"
