I am building a new house, and I intend to make it "Green" and "Self Powered".  My location provides me with an unlimited southern exposure for solar, and plenty of breezy days to supplement my plant.  I also plan to take advantage of geothermal and solarthermal compliments. Commercial power will be available, but not run throughout the house.  It is great when you can make things your own way!
