Hey there,

I made the circuit of the Easy Driver to the Arduino One as in the example of the tutorials but the bi-polar stepper motor doesn't work.

It does when I connect the external power supply that gives the stepper motor resistance.

I checked everything and the leds that must light up do so.

The Easy Drive also indicates that the external power supply is active.

I also copy pasted the software for the Arduino One straight from your web site.

But the motor doesn't react to that.

What am I doing wrong?

Marc,

Check the connections like the following image:

If the problem persists, you can check the order of the motor wires. The easy driver has internally 2 H-bridges, each one to control each motor's wire. The order os the wires determine the order and direction of the current in each motor's wire. This is important because if it is wrong, the motor will not work.

Best!

I tried every combination of wiring the stepper motor, but it simply don't work.

But the motor is, if the external power is turned on, constant in a 'block mode'.

The axis can't be turned around with your finger.

The axis does it in all combinations of wiring

do you have any explanation of that? And how can I test the stepper motor

Maybe the time between the steps? Do you hear any sound like vibration or noise? If we use a time too short between the steps and the motor can't have time enough for the next step.

The easydriver has a trimpot to adjust the current. Try to adjust to max.

Other possibilities are motor or driver damaged, the enable pin not set properly...

If you want, put here a picture of your circuit, motor, etc and the code you are uploading. Maybe we can find something.
